Personality.
Beowulf is a hot-blooded wrestler who enjoys the spotlight he received from wrestling. Even after his downfall following the defeat of Grendel and the slaying of his mother, he is unwilling to give up his career and wants to please his fans. However, he is not really known for thinking things through as he was focusing on the career and receiving advice from his shady manager, Zane, instead of seeing the main problem at hand. Despite his bumbling tendencies, he is a good person and a capable fighter who legitimately cares for his fans and other people. This is proven when he told the crowd later in his story mode that his match with Grendel was fixed after finding out and promising them he will defeat the Skullgirl Marie. Motivated in hopes to make up for his mistakes, he pursues the Skullgirl to defeat her and be recognized as a hero instead of a killer.
Beowulf's weight class is the mid-lower end of cruiserweight, the level just below heavyweight. His non-arbitrary wrestling record was 32:0 before retirement, meaning he is currently undefeated.
Although he carries quite the ego for a good reason, Beowulf finds fulfillment in pleasing his fans in whatever way he can. He carries a rather loud and charismatic presence that is full of energy. He's not really smart at all, but his intentions are typically good. He has regrets that he feels like he needs to do things to make up for his mistakes and surprisingly thinks of other's safety before his own as he protected his fans from Grendel's mother when she tried to kill them all. He has a soft spot for children, as many of his fans are a younger audience. He's very passionate about wrestling and his career and may take things very personally when people don't take him seriously or claim wrestling is fake.
He's a washed up retiree who misses the joy that wrestling brought to him, so he's a bit stubborn willed when it comes to giving up; it's not really an option for him, so he has quite an optimistic outlook on life.
